We take great pride in protecting and preserving the building and grounds of our historic site. The museum and it’s collections tell a story, enabling our visitors to experience the cultural and political heritage of the Truman presidency, as well as inspiring the next generation to learn more about President Truman’s legacy.
Originally constructed in 1890 as naval officers’ housing, The Harry S. Truman Little White House is the State of Florida’s only presidential site. Throughout President Truman’s storied tenure as the leader of our great Nation, he found himself returning to the Conch Republic home for warm getaways during cold winters. Discover the fascinating history of this legendary location.
