The TRU-ly Amazing Art Series recognizes the importance of art in Key West and how art is linked with our history. These programs will allow the public an opportunity to paint alongside presidential descendants and more!
TRU-ly Amazing Art: Plein Air Painting Competition
Friday, April 12, 2024 from 10:00am to 1:00pm
Friday, April 12, 2024 Join us from 10:00am to 1:00pm, and enjoy Plein Air Art making at its best! This years competition will be led by artist Wesley Truman Daniel, great-grandson of President Truman. Participants will be provided with an authentic 1911 roof shingle from the Truman Little White House as their canvas (byo outdoor painting supplies). The winning piece will be selected by popular vote and announced later that evening at our Truman Music Series concert featuring the Heart Starters Jazz Band. Plein Air Art competition spaces are limited, purchase tickets now.
